Short version: we keep as little as we can. This site has no analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies, no sign-up and no checkout. Here’s the full, still short, version.
Who we are
This site, clearcomet.com, is operated by ClearComet Ventures, LLC to share news about ClearComet Cloak for MCP, a WordPress plugin, and our other products. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
ClearComet Ventures, LLC also makes the products at stealth.systems. See the rest at stealth.systems.
What gets collected, and by whom
- Cloudflare. The site runs through Cloudflare, which handles delivery and security. Like any network in the middle, it sees your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, and it may log them to block attacks and report connection errors. It also hides our email address from spam bots with a small script. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Our web host. The server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser details) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are rotated and deleted on a routine schedule.
- WordPress.org emoji images. If your browser can’t display emoji on its own, WordPress may load emoji images from WordPress.org, which then sees your IP address.
- WordPress.org. The plugin is downloaded from the WordPress.org plugin directory, not from this site. WordPress.org’s own privacy policy covers that download.
- Email. If you write to [email protected], we get your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply, and we don’t sell it or add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask for.
That’s the whole list. This site uses no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no session recording and no ad networks. Any search-engine tags on our pages are just text in the page; they don’t track visitors.
Cookies
Visitors get no tracking or analytics cookies, which is why there’s no cookie banner. The only cookies here are WordPress login cookies for the site’s own administrators.
Accounts
There are no visitor accounts and no sign-up on this site.
Deleting your data
Want us to delete what we have on you, such as your emails with us? Write to [email protected] from the address you used, and say what you’d like removed. We’ll confirm once it’s done, usually within 30 days. There’s no self-serve deletion tool because there are no visitor accounts. Host and Cloudflare logs expire on their own schedules.
The ClearComet Cloak for MCP plugin
This policy covers this website. The plugin itself, once installed on your own site, makes no external calls and sends nothing back to us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
