My Cloud

cloudatfingertip Realizing the cloud had become a reality in every dimension of my digital work, I decided to do a diagram of it to be able to see at a glance its simple beauty or concerning complexity.

Over the past 10 or so years, these tools have come into place. In this "cloud", there are producivity applications as well as very specific professional tools for work. Security has become the basis for the choices I have made, functionality is next.

I am using my iPhone 4 for this scenario and am adjusting other phones on my cellphone plan to discontinue ATT's 3G service to this phone without penalty. A new book, "Academically Adrift" by Richard Arum and Josipa Roksa, asserts that according to their analysis of more than 2,300 undergraduates at twenty-four institutions, 45 percent of these students demonstrate no significant improvement in a range of skills—including critical thinking, complex reasoning, and writing—during their first two years of college.
